Obituary for Christopher Heard
Christopher Heard, 62, was born on July 15, 1960, to the late Howard Heard, Jr. and Magnolia Smith in Chattanooga, TN. He passed away on February 4, 2023.
Christopher was a graduate of Kirkman High School, class of 1978. He retired from the Krystal Company after 20 years of service as a custodian.
He was a former member of New United Missionary Baptist Church. Christopher was a very humble and down-to-earth person. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and sports lover. He had a good heart and was a great adviser. He was funny and comical.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Heard, Jr.; mother, Magnolia Smith; sister, Shelia Heard.
He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Brittani and Brandan Heard; sister, Emily (Willie) Blackmon of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Melbert (Angela) Heard, Delbert (Sandra) Heard, both of Chattanooga, TN, Howard (Sherilyn) Heard of VA, Edward Heard of Chattanooga, TN, Ollie McCaulley of FL; two grandchildren, Christian and Anthony; a host of other relatives, family members, and friends.
Public viewing will be held 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Monday, February 20, 2023 at the funeral home. A funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2023 in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
