Cemora Battle, 85, passed away April 25, 2023, in Chattanooga. She was born February 23, 1938, in Woodland, AL, to Otis Herring and Druscilla Herring. Cemora worked as a cook for many years at Longhorn Restaurant.
She was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church in Rossville, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Herring and Druscilla Herring
Cemora leaves to cherish her precious memories, son, Leon Strickland; two granddaughters, Kayla Strickland and Tera Moore, all of Chattanooga; two great granddaughters, Kha'Myia Strickland and Kaylee' Montgomery; cousin, Terry Hayden; brother, Charles Herring of Florida; devoted friends, Myra Ulmer and Louise Careathers.
Public viewing will be held 2:00 PM-6:00 PM, Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
A 1:00 PM funeral service will be held Friday, May 12, 2023, in the Chapel of John P Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
Interment will be held at Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.
