Obituary for Cealie Ann Bloodsaw

Cealie Ann Bloodsaw was born to the union of Wiley Bolden Edwards and Mary Ada Vaughn Edwards, June 27th, 1921 in Huntsville, Alabama. She was the ninth of fourteen children.

In 1945, she met and married Robert Bloodsaw, and to this union three children were born. Cealie was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the void left behind by her. She loved gardening and kept a lovely variety of flowers in her house and garden. Her favorite flower was the sunflower.

Cealie was an active member of the Orchard Knob Baptist Church serving as a Deaconess and a member of the Matrons Board. She worked for several years in the home of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Robertson. She also loved to babysit some of her nieces and nephews.

Cealie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Bloodsaw; son, Michael Bloodsaw; six sisters and seven brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory, daughters, Annie (William) Pugh, and Robbie Rucker; grandchildren, Jaquenette Rucker-Mason, Kevin (Anneca) Rucker, Adrian (Tonya) Pugh, Raymond Pugh, and Allison (Braylon) Burton; nineteen great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Public viewing will be held, 8:30 AM-11:30 AM, Monday, February 22, 2021, at the funeral home. A private funeral service will be held. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
