Ms. Bernet Collier, 59, passed away November 2, 2022, in Chattanooga. Bernet “Raised by God” was born April 1, 1963, to James Collier II and Elizabeth Collier. She graduated from Howard High School in 1981 and was a part of the Marching 100. She was a flag girl. Her former employers include Dawn Produce and Krystal Restaurant. Bernet enjoyed writing, sewing, and cooking. Her favorite song was One Wing by Jordin Sparks.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earl McAllister, Jimmy Moore, Ed Moore, and Jerry Moore; sister, Brenda Moore Pitts; son, Jermaine D. Southers.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Karen Collier and Antonio Collier; sisters, Linda Moore, Ellene Collier, Iris Wigfall-Richardson, Sonja Jordan, Karin Steele, and Debra Collier, all of Chattanooga, and Charlotte “Kim” Pinkerton and Jennifer “Jenny” Jenkins , of Atlanta GA; brothers, Robert (Opal) McAllister, James Collier III, Bernard (Annette) Collier and Anthony Moore; grandchildren, Antonio Collier, Keshawna L. Collier, Antonio J. Birt, Shantiana S. Collier, Markell Birt, Jemissa L. Southers and Sade S. Southers.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Friday, November 11, 2022, at the funeral home. Pastor Phynis Hall of New Piney Woods Baptist Church 614 East 52nd Street in Chattanooga, TN will have words of comfort to the family
