Barron A. Smith, 52, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Chattanooga. He was the son of Queen Esther Sims and the late Michael Washpon. He was a graduate of Brainerd High School, class of 1987. Barron was a member of the Olivet Baptist Church. He loved and worshipped God. He tried at heart to be a good friend to all. Barron loved to have fun to the best of his ability. He loved to travel and always made time for fishing with his friends and family whenever possible. He lived his life his way until the end. He mattered and made a difference. His life was not lived in vain.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Washpon; brother, Demetrius Smith; sister, Kimberly Washpon.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, mother, Queen Esther (Orlandus) Sims; sister, Tonia D. (Frankie) Pinkston; brother, Darrell B. Smith; a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A public viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
