Obituary for Austin David Kirkwood III
On December 21, 1958, Austin David Kirkwood, III, was heaven sent to the late Austin D. Kirkwood, II and Bernice A. Tanksley Kirkwood, in Los Angeles CA.
He was called back to his heavenly home on July 20, 2022. Austin graduated and received his high school diploma from Riverside High School, class of 1977, in Chattanooga TN. He went on to serve in the United States Army and later worked for the city of Chattanooga.
Austin enjoyed fishing, listening to music, a good rib sandwich, and was known to have a toothpick in the corner of his mouth. He loved spending time with family and close friends. Austin was preceded in death by his parents Austin D Kirkwood, II and Bernice A. Tanksley Kirkwood; brother, Sylvester Kirkwood, Sr.; sister Dorothy Peete.
He leaves behind one daughter, Felicia (Kenneth) Kirkwood-Bess; two sons, Corey (Nicole) Young, and Patrick Brown; several grandchildren; sister, Sonia Baker; brother, Billy Kirkwood; aunt and uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
