Annie Bell Jones, 97, was born November 23, 1923 to the late Catherine Robinson in Thomasville, GA. She was a member of Westside Missionary Baptist Church. She was a deaconess, a member of the kitchen committee, Missionary Society, and served on the Mother’s Board. She retired from the Chattanooga Hamilton County School System after 40 years of service as a cook. She loved the Lord, her family, gardening, fishing, puzzles, cooking and any outdoor activities.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Catherine Robinson; husband, Ambrose Jones, Sr.; sons, Ambrose Jones, Jr., Paul Jones; brother, Edwin Rollins; sisters, Yvonne Morgan and Dorothy Lyde.

Those to cherish her precious memory include her sons, Lester and James Jones of Chattanooga; daughter and son-in-law, Janie (Maurice Hughes) Jones, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Amos (Jeannie) Jones, Edward (Marylin) Jones, Sr., LaMichael Stepp, Eric Stepp, Derek (Sharonda) Stepp, Bryant Houston; Shaniqua (Jamal) Jones, all of Chattanooga; 16 great grandchildren; special friends, Denise and Dave Porter and the Westside Baptist Church family.

Public viewing will be held 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the funeral home. A private family funeral service will be held. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
