Obituary for Angie Renee James
Angie Renee James, 62, transitioned to her eternal life on July 14, 2023, at her residence in Murfreesboro Tennessee. She was born to Nathaniel H. Anderson and Annie G. Anderson, January 2,1961, in Tulsa, OK.
Angie graduated from Brainerd High School, class of 1979. She had been employed by Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. She was a member of Y-Teen and Jack and Jill, both organizations that Angie grew up attending.
Angie was a member of World Outreach in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She loved to shop. She also loved music and dancing. Angie was a painter. She adored her pets, two of whom preceded her in death; her dog, Precious and cat, Blue.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Ishmael James of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; father, Nathaniel H. Anderson of Chattanooga.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, mother, Annie G Anderson; her brother, Aaron Anderson; nieces, Ja'Sonna M. Richardson (Terin) and Na'Ja Anderson; four nephews, King Richardson, Josiah Richardson, Hezekiah Richardson, and Ameer Richardson, all of Chattanooga; special friends, Lisa Southhall, Dorothy Nelson, Eric and Delores Custer, Saul Ware, and Teresa Alexander.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 4 PM in the chapel at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423-622-9995.
